Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

🎨 WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

We are a minority-owned paint-and-sip studio that has created a MAJOR buzz throughout the NJ, NY & PA area and for good reason! Since 2015, we have been the first and only studio in the country to fuse the traditional paint-and-sip experience with live shows, a live DJ, and a full karaoke concept.

From the moment you step inside, our beautifully designed studio space transports you into our world. Our environment evolves each year as a work of art in its own right, perfectly setting the tone for our one-of-a-kind events. While many have tried to imitate our signature entertainment style, a Canvas & Grapes painting class simply cannot be duplicated!

🎟️ HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR AN EVENT?

To sign up for one of our public events, please click on any "Book Tickets" section on our homepage to browse our current calendar. Our events sell out incredibly fast, so we strongly recommend purchasing your tickets at least 2–3 weeks in advance.

πŸ›‘ CAN I GET TICKETS FOR A SOLD-OUT DATE?

If an event is completely sold out, we kindly ask that you sign up for the waiting list directly on that event page. You can also text us at (848) 229-2509 to request text alerts for openings.

Please note that we cannot add seats to a sold-out show, and we cannot accommodate spectators (non-painters) inside the venue due to capacity limits. Joining the official online waitlist is the only way to be automatically notified of sudden cancellations.

πŸ“… I DON'T SEE A DATE OFFERED ON YOUR CALENDAR?

Our public event calendars are released one month in advance, precisely on the 1st of the previous month (for example: August's calendar is released on July 1st).

The first week following a calendar release is our busiest booking window. Because all of our weekend events consistently sell out, we strongly advise booking your reservation 2–3 weeks ahead of time.

🍾 WHAT ARE THE FOOD AND DRINK RULES?

We are a proud BYOB paint and sip studio! Guests are welcome to bring their favorite beer, wine, or beverages. We provide cups for your drinks. Please be sure to chill your drinks prior to arriving, or bring ice along with you so we can set up your table with our complimentary ice buckets.

Guests may also bring light snacks to enjoy while painting. Snacks are strictly limited to individually packed finger foods (such as finger sandwiches, cheese, crackers, small fruit cups, cookies, cupcakes, or chips and dip).

πŸ‘₯ PRIVATE PARTIES VS. PUBLIC EVENTS

Both our public calendar dates and private group bookings offer our exact same signature entertainment experience. However, public events are typically packed to capacity, which allows our full production team to deliver an incredibly high-energy show. Because of this dynamic, private studio events have higher minimum guest requirements during peak weekend times.

Additionally, both options allow you to bring your own food and drinks. For complete booking details, please refer to our dedicated Private Events page. [12]

🏷️ DO YOU OFFER GROUPON OR DISCOUNTS?

We do not offer discounts or Groupon rates, and here is why: once you experience a show, you will see that our ticket pricing is an incredible value for the level of entertainment provided. Each event is meticulously crafted from our professional artists and live DJs to custom choreography, light shows, and high-quality guest service.

We pride ourselves on offering a premium entertainment experience you won't find at a standard arts-and-crafts franchise. If price is your primary deciding factor, we completely understand! In that case, you may want to look into a traditional, quiet painting class in the Central Jersey area, such as Pinot’s Palette, Wine & Design, or Arte Vino.

πŸ”ž PARENTAL ADVISORY & AGE LIMITS

Our studio events feature adult comedy, mature content, and uncensored music playlists. Our recommended minimum age is 13+.

However, children ages 8–12 are permitted to attend only if they are accompanied by a supervising adult, and they must have a paid ticket to enter. Children under the age of 8, including infants, are strictly prohibited inside the venue during public showtimes. For younger crowds, we offer custom children's birthday parties through our mobile off-site services.

πŸ•’ WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY?

Due to the custom nature of our live entertainment productions, Canvas & Grapes maintains a strict NO-REFUND policy for public events. We curate our playlists, lighting cues, and staff scheduling well in advance of showtime.

  • 24+ Hours Notice: Cancellations submitted in writing to info@canvasandgrapes.com at least 24 hours before the event will receive a one-time-use store credit. This credit is valid toward an event occurring within 30 days of your original booking. We do not accept verbal cancellations over the phone.

  • Reschedule Limit: Only one reschedule is permitted per ticket. A second cancellation, even within the 30-day window, forfeits the ticket value.

  • Less Than 24 Hours Notice: Cancellations made under the 24-hour mark, or failure to show up for your show, are completely ineligible for store credit or rescheduling.

β›ˆοΈ INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Canvas & Grapes does not cancel events or issue store credits based on general weather advisories or winter storm warnings (including heavy rain, snow, or local flooding).

In the rare event of a government-mandated state closure, all registered guests will be notified via email by 10:00 PM the night before (whenever possible) and will automatically receive an event store credit. If you personally do not feel comfortable driving during bad weather, you must submit your cancellation request at least 24 hours prior to showtime to receive your credit.
